Honor Magic Vs, a foldable smartphone, coming to Philippines

Honor has announced that Honor Magic Vs, its latest foldable smartphone, will launch in the Philippines. However, the mobile brand doesn't reveal the official price and release date yet.

Stephen Cheng, Vice President for Marketing of Honor, said that the Honor Magic Vs would be their "very first foldable flagship to debut in overseas markets."

'Groundbreaking Hinge Design and Large Dual Display'

When folded, the Honor Magic Vs measures 12.9mm in thickness and weighs 261 grams, making it the industry's lightest foldable smartphone and a pleasure to carry.

Moreover, it features an ultra-light gearless hinge crafted with a single-piece casting technology, which reduces the number of supporting structural components used in the hinge while keeping its durability and sturdiness.

The Honor Magic Vs can withstand over 400,000 folds, which is equivalent to more than ten years of use at 100 folds per day, establishing a new benchmark for foldable smartphone design.

Folding the Honor Magic Vs reveals a 6.45-inch display (OLED) with a 21:9 aspect ratio and a 90% screen-to-body ratio, enabling users to view content and input text with remarkable ease.

When unfolded, the Honor Magic Vs provides a tablet-like experience with an extra-wide 7.9-inch internal display (OLED), making it ideal for users who desire effortless multitasking and more screen space.

'Computational Photography and Unrivaled Day-long Performance'

The Honor Magic Vs is equipped with a proprietary AI-enabled Honor Image Engine and a triple-camera system consisting of a 54-megapixel IMX800 Main Camera, a 50-megapixel Ultra-Wide & Macro Main Camera, and an 8-megapixel 3X Optical Zoom Camera, enabling users to capture fascinating images in stunning detail for a superior photography and videography experience.

The new foldable phone from Honor features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 Mobile Platform with enhanced GPU and CPU performance for a faster and more fluid user experience. Additionally, it supports the 66W Wired Honor SuperCharge, which allows the battery to be charged to 100 percent in only 46 minutes.

The Honor Magic Vs comes in three colors: Orange, Black, and Cyan, and is set to be available in the Philippines very soon.
