AutoChess MOBA addresses network latency and lag issues

In a Facebook post, AutoChess MOBA has addressed players' commonly encountered issues, including network latency and lag.

"We are always paying close attention to the problems you have encountered. And we are struggling mightily to fix these problems," read the post.

The case of network latency and lag

According to the developers, they're "deeply aware that the network latency has brought some subpar experiences" for players.

That said, their initial motivation is to offer players worldwide the chance to match and play together freely, so they have deployed many server nodes in multiple regions, basically achieving the global network deployment.

But beyond their expectations is that a large number of players joined a team by invitation from the world channel or friend list for a matchmaking queue, and some of the players might not notice that the team captain comes from other regions, resulting in players from different regions entering the same match.

Admittedly, this case augments the ping (latency) of the players whose regions differ from the captain's to be too high for a smooth battle, which is the core reason for current in-battle lagging.

Solutions to be implemented

"As yet, we have fixed some critical network issues, including laggy gaming after reconnection, buffering downloads, etc.," said developer Dragonest.

"To secure your smoother gaming experience, we are working on optimizing the logic of recommended region settings and will add a pre-match notification to indicate whether your ping is suitable to start a match," added the developer.

Suggestion for smooth gameplay

AutoChess MOBA team suggested that players check whether their region is the same as the captains' before starting a match to ensure a better gaming experience.

Here's how you can check your region's ping:
Tap [Region] on the upper corner of the room page before starting a match.

Tips and tricks for lesser queue time in AutoChess Moba

A time-consuming queue is another concerning problem, according to the developers. They have located this problem and will fix it soon.

Meanwhile, players can try the following method to find a match faster:
1. Start a match in a sole queue or a quintet queue (five-player queue).
2. Set your position preference as "Any Position".

To recall, AutoChess MOBA fixed several issues like bugs and lag in the December 7 patch. However, most players are still experiencing an FPS drop.
